At Abbey Flooring we specialise in wooden floors throughout the London area. We know wood inside and out. Whether it's solid floors, engineered floors or pre-finished floors, Abbey Flooring London will help you choose the perfect finish. Using the same timber throughout, solid floors can be nailed or glued to the underside. Over a given width, they must be screwed and plugged on the face of the timber to prevent the boards from cupping. More stability and greater soundproofing are just two of the advantages of this type of floor over a solid floor.

Wide boards can be laid without fixing to the face of the timber, and if necessary, floated.
